Position:  Sales Curriculum Manager – Sustainable Farm Solutions  

Reports to: Senior Channel Development Manager 

Location:  Ames, Iowa (Remote locations will be considered) 

We are looking for an experienced professional in channel development who wants to lead sales curriculum and content development to make a positive impact on the success of our sales professionals.  As a Sales Curriculum Manager, you will be a critical member of our Commercial Operations team, responsible to develop content that supports the early onboarding and ongoing training needs of our rep channel network.  You will work closely with Channel Development Managers and Regional Agronomists to understand regional team needs and build local materials that enable our sales professionals to be recognized by our customer as the trusted advisor network for sustainable Nitrogen farm solutions and primary supplier of Nitrogen to our customer base. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop sales curriculum and content that supports Pivot Bio Sales Professionals to understand and effectively position sustainable farm solutions to their customer base 
  • Continually update training materials to ensure reps stay fresh on product offerings, key messaging, and industry trends around Nitrogen farm solutions   
  • Use customer and rep feedback surveys to identify knowledge gaps, map out content needsbuild calendarized process of material delivery to rep channel networkand adjust content as needed to support rep channel network  
  • Interacts closely with Channel Development Managers, Regional Agronomists, and Territory Sales Managers to identify regional training needs 
  • Tailor content to regional needs and different rep levels (beginners, middle, advanced) for a customized training approach by region and individual development needs  
  • Integrate training materials into Pivot Bio’s sales rep learning tools and sales platforms for easy and timely access to materials prior to customer interactions 
  • Develop coaching materials for sales managers to increase their success in effectively positioning content for rep comprehension and action 
  • Coordinate with marketing, channel development, field sales and agronomy teams to support development of all required materials and documents for annual sales launch  
  • Support process for ongoing rep communicationswork with local field sales and agronomy teams to gather relevant agronomic content and local data updates to keep reps informed 

 

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in agricultural business or related field (or equivalent experience) 
  • 5+ years in ag sales, training, agronomy and fertility management background preferred 
  • Strong understanding of ag inputs and Nitrogen management solutions 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be a forward thinker and anticipate needs of the commercial effort 
  • Must be able to work in a nimble, fast paced environment, requiring excellent time management and organizational skills  
  • Flexibility and adaptability--must be able to adjust quickly to changing needs of the business or individual customers 
  • Must be self-motivated and strive for excellence 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel) 
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States 
  • Minimal travel requirements <15%
