Job Description

At Volta we’re on a mission to accelerate the adoption of the electric vehicle. Volta's award-winning charging stations benefit brands, consumers, and real-estate locations by providing valuable advertising space to businesses and convenient charging to drivers. Strategically located in places consumers already visit, Volta's chargers are currently the most used electric vehicle charging stations in the United States.
The Opportunity at Volta ChargingThe IT Help Desk is the first point of contact for all IT related questions. The primary task of this position will be to troubleshoot and resolve internal customers' IT issues on-site and/or remotely. This is a part-time opportunity and will require coming onsite to our SF offices. The role requires a commitment of 24 hours per week. The schedule can broken into either Mon/Wed/Friday 9am - 5pm PT support or Mon - Fri 9am - 1pm support.

After twelve months, you will have accomplished:

  • Facilitating and completing Tier 1 support requests, this includes tracking notes and communicating clearly and hospitably with customers using our internal ticketing system
  • Providing on-site support including conference room support, basic wifi support, clear communication verbally and via ticketing system
  • Supporting and serve as IT point of contact for user onboarding, laptop configuration and shipment
  • Creating support articles to help track and communicate processes and best practices using Wiki docs
  • Setting up new-hire access, provision laptops and shipping equipment to users nationwide.

What you bring to Volta Charging:

  • 6 months - 1 year of experience in IT services
