The VP People and Culture will be the architect of the strategies and processes that enable the end-to-end Wisk employee experience.  

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a people and culture strategy to attract, retain, develop, and scale the company’s talent
  • Build organizational culture that is aligned to the Wisk mission, vision and values 
  • Act as an internal consultant and trusted partner to the Leadership Team on topics such as leadership development, performance management, culture building, and hiring practices
  • Partner with the Leadership Team to simplify and repeat appropriate internal communications which support growth of our talent and our business.
  • Build the People team and develop processes to scale along with the growth of the company, including People operations, culture, talent management, learning & development, compensation and talent acquisition
  • Coach leaders on how to design, build and develop high performing teams
  • Promote and assess company culture, boosting aspects that strengthen the company and addressing aspects that require attention
  • Uphold a strong commitment to diversity, equality and inclusion: Drive diversity, inclusion, and people culture initiatives
  • Refine and execute compensation planning and employee benefits strategy
  • Leverage data and feedback to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Oversee the company’s People technology platforms and provide solutions to improve the employee experience and minimize HR risk
  • Own all employee-related legal and compliance issues 

The VP People must:

  • Thrive in a fast-paced, high growth environment with proven track record in building and running People programs at large and small companies.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience across multiple People functions with at least 5 years in a Senior Leadership role. Start up experience is a bonus.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage a direct team as well as indirect stakeholders in support of an organization's strategy.
  • Possess strong business acumen with the ability to create win-win strategies that advance the development of our teams and the strategic and financial trajectory of the company.
  • Ability to practice calm and sound judgement under pressure and in support of the organization and our people.
  • Proven track record of successfully navigating complex employee relations situations.
  • Direct experience supporting complex workforce footprints - across geographies and employees.
