Summary

The ChargePoint Technical Operations team has been growing at a rapid pace as it scales manufacturing across a daunting new product roadmap. The Technical Program Management, Manager will partner with ChargePoint’s senior leadership to take the TPM group to the next level. In this role you will be responsible for delivering the FATP and PCBA manufacturing line readiness that enable our new product portfolio on time and exceeding technical targets. You will work closely with the Engineering and Operations leads to ensure high quality products and services from our CM partners and drive excellence into everything we do.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years direct hands on experience and know-how with fast paced, product design and product commercialization companies. Been through 5+ product life cycles from inception to mass production at an industry leading company

  • Demonstrated ability to advance a Technical Program Management organization’s methods and systems

  • Track record of leading and growing teams in a technical field

  • Expertise in DFx methodologies, in depth knowledge in quality methodologies with command of tools including statistical analysis, DOE, FMEA etc.

  • Ability to drive first order root cause analysis, triage and guide issues resolution

  • Expertise in Continuous Process Improvement, Kanban and Lean manufacturing principals. 

  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a growing dynamic environment

  • Highly motivated, excellent communicator who can translate high-level goals into tangible action plans

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to concisely understand and communicate issues and lead a team to solutions

  • Ability to work with limited supervision and drive issues to closure with cross-functional teams

  • Strong leadership skills and demonstrates ability to address issues under pressure

  • Up to 25% international and domestic travel may be required

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and mentor a team of Technical Program Managers

  • Evaluate 

    • Evaluate technical capabilities of quick turn and volume CMs and equipment manufacturers

  • Develop/Deploy

    • Work with internal cross-functional teams to ensure products are optimized for manufacturability, cost, supply chain flexibility and efficiency (DFx) 

    • Manage New Product Introduction (NPI) builds, pre-proto through PVT, at the factory

    • Ensure line readiness for NPI builds, production ramp, and Rework/Refurb 

    • Work with manufacturing partners to develop assembly tooling and/or automation equipment 

    • Help optimize lines for capacity at contract manufacturing partners 

    • Data requirements at manufacturing partners
