Job Description

About This Role:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the timely and accurate delivery of monthly financial statements for a growing international company.  This position will be located at our headquarter office in Goleta, CA. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts.
  • Prepare month end journal entries.
  • Perform bank reconciliations.
  • Track fixed assets by type and location and record related monthly depreciation.
  • Calculate monthly inventory cost adjustments
  • Perform periodic inventory counts and reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly customer invoices
  • Prepare audit schedules for external auditors.
  • Assist with international entities as they come online, including assisting with intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
  • Assist with preparation of consolidated financial statements
  • Perform ad-hoc filings (e.g. US Gov’t Census report, Property Tax Returns)
  • Participate in the development and documentation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Identify areas for workflow process improvements, provide recommendations and execute on the changes.
  • Play an active role in system enhancements and upgrades.
  • Perform other duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or other related field (an equivalent combination of relevant education and applicable job experience may be considered)
  • 5-7 years of general ledger accounting experience, public company experience preferred 
  • 2+ years Oracle experience required
  • Experience with accounting by department and job is preferred
  • Intercompany accounting a plus
  • General knowledge of US GAAP
  • Basic knowledge of IFRS a plus
  • Able to handle multiple priorities and set/meet deadlines
