Job Description

The OVO Group’s purpose is to drive progress towards net zero carbon living. To reach Plan Zero, we need everyone to come together - not just as customers buying energy, but as members with a common goal. As part of this ambitious plan, our goal is to become the ‘Leading Employer in the UK’ by 2030. If you think you could be the talent we’re looking for, then come and join the adventure!

Where in the world of OVO will I be working?

Kaluza is an ecosystem of intelligent platforms powering the future of energy. From revolutionising billing to smart electric vehicle charging, Kaluza’s technology is empowering some of the biggest energy suppliers to better serve their customers. Its real-time cloud platforms transform supplier operations, reducing cost to serve and boosting customer engagement.

Powered by Kaluza, suppliers can invest in innovating for tomorrow’s customers and drive decarbonisation with smart, low carbon technologies that not only reduce energy bills, but lay the foundations for a more flexible energy system. For more on Kaluza, head to kaluza.com.

What will I be doing?

Key responsibilities include:

  • Curating the business strategy - working with the Leadership Team to build the strategic roadmap for Kaluza and documenting it in a way that brings it to life for the whole Kaluza team
  • Supporting the individual Leaders in the creation of roadmaps and setting of priorities for their functions, aligned to the overall strategy
  • Leading the business planning cycle - facilitating the governance forums, scheduling the sessions, preparing the agendas, coordinating the contributors and collating the inputs
  • Mapping the capacity of the Kaluza teams and supporting the alignment of limited resources to our most important goals
  • Orchestrating the quarterly goal setting cycle across Kaluza; from sharing the business context to supporting with goal alignment across the teams
  • Ensuring the right level of reporting is in place to simply and effectively surface progress and performance against goals
  • Supporting the Leadership and the teams in anticipating and resolving delivery blockers, resource constraints or conflicting priorities
  • Building partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with all senior managers and their teams

Is this the job for me?

Ideally you will be:
  • A strong change manager with experience of working within agile organisations
  • An expert in developing OKRs that drive the business forward and coaching teams to set effective, aligned goals
  • Experienced in supporting Exec Teams with developing, presenting and sharing long term strategic plans
  • Someone who actively strives to remove complexity from business planning; an expert in setting up planning and reporting frameworks that are bring value rather than unnecessarily absorb time
  • Comfortable working in a rapidly changing, high growth environment
  • Experience with navigating technology teams (with product managers, data scientists and engineers)
  • Strong presentation, relationship building, negotiation, facilitation and conflict resolution skills with senior stakeholders. Able to present and communicate complex information in a clear and concise way.
  • An excellent project manager as well as a creative thinker. This is a role that calls for both a starter and a coordinator.

From us you’ll get

  • An annual discretionary bonus
  • 4% of your salary to spend on flexible lifestyle benefits
  • 5% matched employer contribution to your pension
  • 25 days holiday + 1 for your birthday
