 About the Role

NatureDots is seeking an Android Developer to join our DeepTech Team and work closely with our Lead Software Architecture and Advisor. You will be part of an innovative and highly passionate, small but growing team. We welcome creative problem solvers (or aspiring), encourage curiosity with constant scanning of environment and network for information and opportunities to create new solutions.

Responsibilities and Requirements

We are looking for a passionate individual who is an expert Mobile App Developer. You should have high attention to detail, be a proactive problem solver, and work well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. We work with a wide range of technologies, depending on what is most suitable for the problem at hand in combination. Hence, we are looking for developers who can adapt rapidly to new challenges and are keen to learn.

Major responsibilities for the role include gathering user requirements, defining system functionality and writing code in various languages, like NodeJS, Python. Our ideal candidates are familiar with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) from preliminary system analysis to tests and deployment, with an ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements. Ultimately, the role is to build high-quality, innovative and fully performing software application that complies with coding standards and technical design.

If you are a Graduate with experience, a recent graduate or still studying and even a Drop-out or self-taught coder, if you have the following skills, you can apply!

• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
• Should know about creating front-end UI and backend integration for creating Android apps
• Knowledge of sending push notifications etc. via apps and familiarity with cloud message APIs would be great
• Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs, working knowledge of Django + AngularJS would be great as well
• Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web-framework is a plus
• Familiarity with continuous integration (CI) tools like Jenkins,
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
• Knowledge of configuring and working on Cloud machines would be a plus
• Strong experience in design patterns, Android UI design principles, Object-Oriented

Programming

• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning - Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces
• Experience with AB testing, Analytics, offline syncing, DeepLinking, GCM’s
• Exposure to working with DBs is a plus
• Exposure to Java programming and the ability to work with serialized objects like Pickle etc. would be good to have
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization
