Job Description

The Senior Logistics and Inventory Analyst is responsible for managing inventory demand and requirements for our sensors and computer hardware.  This individual will act as the interface to manufacturing and service sites to resolve supply issues relating to the part number portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Determine the required materials and generate purchase orders.
  • Work with suppliers and other departments to ensure consistent supply for the manufacturing of sensors and computer hardware. 
  • Coordinate with other departments regarding production goals, timelines, supplier payments, etc.
  • Accountable for Material Planning and Logistics master data
  • Review out of stock situations or shortage of supply issues in order to execute mitigating actions 
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including timely preparation of all required documentation
  • Ensure cost-effective and efficient transportation, while meeting delivery timelines/requirements.
  • Ensure that export process follows company and industry standards
  • Identify and manage potential inventory obsolescence to minimize write-offs
  • Review out of stock situations or shortage of supply issues in order to recommend and execute mitigating actions 
  • Conduct root cause analysis for supply chain issues/variances and perform corrective action plans to avoid reoccurrence

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (Logistics or Supply Chain Management focus preferred)
  • Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience within inventory management
  • Demonstrated experience with purchasing and inventory management of highly technical materials- radars, lidars, computers.  
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to identify business process issues and drive process improvement
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment to achieve business objectives
  • General freight forwarding knowledge

  • Demand Planning Experience
  • Interfacing with 3PL providers
  • Vendor/supplier negotiation experience
  • Customs and brokerage
  • APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)
