Job Description

Reports To: Manager of CRE Sales

Location: San Francisco Bay Area, CA

Carbon Lighthouse is looking for a proven, adaptable sales professional to continue building our momentum in San Francisco and the broader West Coast real estate market.

The successful Executive Account Manager (EAM) will pursue ambitious bookings goals, grow our brand, and make our service offering better by applying lessons learned from the field back to the company.

In addition to the focus on strategic sales and business development, the ideal candidate will leverage their commitment to our environmental mission, curiosity, persistence, and adaptability to fulfill critical organization building responsibilities like defining our local market strategy. The initial career path will be focused on developing and executing sales of financially attractive operational savings for commercial real estate clients with an environmental impact with subsequent opportunities for  growth and specialization as our company expands.

The role may be filled in a remote capacity, however many clients will be based out of San Francisco Bay Area, CA and we expect traveling locally and regionally to resume on a regular basis when in-person meetings return to being the industry norm. The EAM will work on continuous improvement through ongoing coaching and sales support from their San Francisco Bay Area based manager and sales executives.

Responsibilities:

  • Close comprehensive service contracts and grow the market
  • Communicate the value proposition and business case to key decision makers and build the foundation for strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • Develop financial models and contract structures that meet client needs
  • Work closely with internal project managers, engineers, and the sales team to deliver compelling, client-centric proposals
  • Improve sales processes and contribute to company strategy
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to Carbon Lighthouse Sales Development Representatives and Associates
  • Regularly maintain pipeline status and changes in Salesforce CRM
  • Via networking and “boots-on-the-ground” efforts, immerse into the local real estate network to increase lead generation, brand awareness and service reputation

 

Qualifications:

  • Three years in real estate acquisitions, ownership, lending, brokerage, investor relations with the demonstrated ability to coordinate multi-stakeholder transactions OR three years in a quota-bearing role selling an elective, enterprise service or product with a median transaction size of $100,000+ 
  • Experience building cash flow models and interest in applying concepts of corporate finance, capital markets, real estate, energy, and building technology
  • Desire to work with a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment; adaptability is key amidst evolving team and client needs
  • Encompass GRIT and a Growth mindset
  • Ability to accept and incorporate feedback quickly
  • Initiative to troubleshoot and improve processes
  • Ability to organize and prioritize time depending on different workflows to advance deals and develop internal knowledge
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel for local and national meetings and industry events (~5-10 days per month)
  • Experience with Salesforce or comparable CRMs
