Sanitation Technician

OVERVIEW
This position is responsible for keeping the production facility in clean and orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties on production lines, such as cleaning equipment, washing floors and walls, removing garbage, and other duties to support plant sanitation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assures conformance with sanitation standards
• Keeping area clean and walkways free of product and debris
• Cleaning floors and equipment
• Comply with all safety policies, practice, and procedures
• Complete accurate paperwork for sanitation areas and jobs
• Report sanitation deficiencies to QA Supervisor
• Sweep out freezer bays, racks, and loading dock areas
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisory or lead personnel

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diplomas or GED preferred
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions effectively and efficiently

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Work in a cold environment, both indoors and outdoors in all types of weather conditions
• The employee must occasionally lift items and move them up to 25 lbs.
