Rad Power Bikes is a leading consumer direct ebike manufacturer specializing in high quality yet affordable electric bikes for weekend warriors, hardcore commuters, and family cyclists.
Madly growing and located in Seattle, Wa, we are seeking a full-time Director-Technical Program Management to join our team. If you enjoy working in a collaborative environment and are looking to support a dynamic team, this might be the role for you! 
Our Director-Technical Program Management will be responsible for defining the 3 year program roadmap for enterprise projects.   This includes the strategic planning of technology initiatives across all functions of the business - from finance to engineering.   You will lead a team of technical project managers as they define project scope and schedules while allocating and managing resources who will focus on regular and timely delivery of value. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of managing teams that lead, deliver and integrate complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders that evolve and transform a retail business, as well as the ability to lead change and communicate with a wide variety of audiences, both technical and business.

Why You’re Rad (about you):

  • 8-10 years of Technical Project Management experience; self-motivated, with a high sense of accountability, urgency, and drive.
  • 5 years of running enterprise PMO function in fast growth, start up environments.  Has built top performing teams to support the enterprise with project management, prioritization, scoping and delivery.
  • 6+ years of people management experience, managing project managers
  • Delivery Experience with both agile and waterfall methodologies
  • Strong familiarity with project management software, including Smartsheet and ProjectBoard 
  • Experience leading complex initiatives,  including establishing effective governance structures, cross functional coordination, and executive partner management.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, highly collaborative environment possessing strong leadership and facilitation skills, demonstrated ability to influence without positional authority
  • Solid understanding of project management tools, methodologies and best practices, and a passion for developing and managing complex project plans, budgets and quality deliveries
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills, including excellent presentation skills

Additional Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in multi-channel retail, preferably at a direct to consumer first business 
  • Experience delivering modern Data warehouse, financial ERP implementation, and warehouse management projects at scale and velocity
  • IT infrastructure implementation experience
  • Ability to positively influence multi-disciplinary teams to get work done

You get bonus points for:

  • Experience with localization and internationalization of ecommerce sites 
  • Experience with Headless Commerce and CMS Solutions
  • Experience with Shopify, Netsuite
  • Experience with hard goods manufacturing, with complex and extensive supply chains

Had you been with us last month, you would have:

  • Managed a technology roadmap consisting of multiple cross-functional projects as well as technology specific projects 
  • Mentored and led a team of project managers, as they Prepared and distributed progress reports and managed risks and issues; organized and led project status and working meetings 
  • Run a bi-weekly PMO meeting with department leaders to manage project prioritization and provided timely project status reports to managers and project resources
  • Corrected deviations from plans and performed delivery planning for assigned projects and created relevant project documentation during the project and after project completion
  • Developed strong relationships with internal customers, vendors, and affiliates that were associated with a project
  • Proactively identified and managed impact of projects to broader organization and worked collaboratively with the larger leadership team, reconciled divergent demands of multiple stakeholders
  • Created and distributed program status reports including project financials, milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership levels
  • Additional duties & overtime as required
