About the Role:

The Product Management team at Planet leads complex, multi-disciplinary projects using engineering and market based expertise and product vision. Planning requirements with internal customers and ushering projects through the entire product lifecycle. 

This role would support the Imagery Product team, with focus on drafting and implementing business logic in Missions systems. Optimizing our Tasking and Order Management systems to increase daily satellite capacity and overall revenue. 

Impact You’ll Own:

  • Develop algorithms to optimize Planet’s tasking workflow and maximize daily satellite capacity
  • Work closely with Product and Sales to craft business rules around customer needs
  • Understand satellite collection constraints and their impact on tasking, image quality,  and customer experience 
  • Provide guidance to Product and Engineering to improve the overall customer experience; between ordering, tasking, and delivery   

What You Bring:

  • BS (current or recent) in Math, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Passion for creative problem solving
  • Customer-centric focus
