About the Role:
Imperfect Foods is looking for a hardworking Associate Category Manager to join our Merchandising team. You will lead multiple facets of the business including vendor management, product management, partner with operations, and identify growth opportunities. As an Associate Category Manager, you will be able to deliver results at both the strategic and tactical levels across all aspects of the business. The ideal candidate will have a curiosity for the business, solve problems using data, and a passion to invent and simplify within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain key category management tools including vendor scorecards, weekly P&L reporting, and upcoming marketing initiatives. You will develop and drive alignment across the category management team on these tools.
  • Partner with Operations to build merchandising team quality and inventory reporting. Use this data to lead root cause analysis and develop corrective action and preventive action plans.
  • Partner with the product development team to handle key seasonal development windows for the category management team.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of category analytics/management experience.
  • 0-2 years program or project management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management,, Business, or related field
  • +1 years of practiced analytical skills including the ability to distill, synthesize, and draw conclusions on large amounts of data.
  • Experience with Excel, SPINS, and other platforms preferred.

Details of Position:

  • Full-time, exempt position reporting to the Category Manager, Merchandising

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary work; involves sitting most of the time

How we are protecting employees from COVID-19
At Imperfect Foods, employee health and safety is our top priority. We have implemented processes and precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our facilities. We provide gloves, masks, and hand sanitizer to all essential employees who must report to work. Before entering our warehouse, employees have their temperatures checked. In addition, we take great care to ensure frequently touched surfaces are sanitized throughout the day and all warehouses are fully sanitized weekly.
We have also implemented an Emergency Sick Leave policy providing full-time and part-time employees 2 additional weeks of paid time off and up to 26 weeks paid leave if they have a confirmed case of COVID-19.
