Warehouse Lead

OVERVIEW
The Warehouse Lead, also known as the “floor general”, should be an expert in every area of warehouse operations from start to finish. Safety, receiving, shipping, put away, inventory, training, housekeeping etc. Anything that has to do with warehouse operations the warehouse lead is very knowledgeable of. The warehouse lead is a team player, can identify where the team is falling short and fill that void swiftly.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works with material handlers to receive all incoming material/product 
• Inspects all deliveries for any damages and validates quantities
• Works with material handlers shipping all outbound product
• Works with RTO’s to ensure safe storage of material/product accurately 
• Motivates the team by setting a positive example
• Makes sure the warehouse  is clean and organized
• Works with the inventory team to help coordinate cycle counts
• Works with team members to ensure material needed for production is staged for consumption
• Trains new employee’s on best practices and warehouse SOP’s
• Conducts pit equipment certifications
• Makes sure all pit equipment is in decent condition and working properly
• Enforces all safety and GMP regulations  
• Reports any discrepancies or issues directly to the warehouse supervisor
• Conducts pre shift meetings when necessary

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent 
• 2 years experience in warehousing or similar role
• 2 years experience using WMS’s
• Must know how to operate reach truck and electric pallet jack
• Excellent communication skills, speaking Spanish is a plus

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Physical Demands and Work Environment
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to sit or stand for long amount of times
• Occasionally able to work on weekends
• Comfortable being in cold temperatures for long periods at a time with proper equipment
