What you’ll be doing:

• Crafting and implementing scalable systems to support the sophisticated engineering challenges faced at Cruise
• Maintaining health and shipping performance optimizations for our AV Continuous Integration and Deployment pipelines to demonstrate a measurable and direct impact on engineering productivity and our core company metrics
• Collaborate with engineers across the company to support their development workflow
• Own technical projects from start to finish and be responsible for major technical decisions and tradeoffs
• Efficiently participate in team’s planning, code reviews and design discussions
• Drive software engineering best practices both within your team and across the company

What you must have:

• 5+ years experience designing, building and operating production systems at scale
• Experience working on developer tooling, build systems or CI/CD pipelines
• Experience writing Go, or an inclination to learn
• Attention to detail and a desire to improve processes & systems around you
• Experience managing projects across multiple teams
• Passion for self-driving technology and its potential impact on the world
• BS, MS or PhD in CS, Math, Physics, or equivalent real-world experience

Bonus Points!

• Experience with Bazel and CI/CD systems
• Experience with core AWS, Azure or GCP technologies
• Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes
