Front End Engineer

What does this role do at CIBO?

As Front End Engineer at CIBO, you’ll be part of a collaborative team of developers, data scientists, agronomists, and remote sensing experts. You will help build customer-facing applications and our core platform to create, improve, and scale agricultural models.  What does this role look like?

As the front-end developer, you will have opportunities to:

• Develop the front-end experience for the most critical user-facing features at CIBO
• Work within the group to translate an abstract product vision into a concrete yet a pragmatic technical solution.
• Proactively communicate technical constraints to platform teams and help articulate preferred solutions.
• Work with a cross-functional team to design, prototype, and deliver high-quality products that solve user problems
• Build a long-term technology stack with well-defined APIs that is service-oriented, modular, and performant

We value candidates who:

• Have several years of engineering experience.
• Have experience with delivering large-scale, time-sensitive initiatives.
• Have experience with designing and building large-scale production systems or features.
• Can demonstrate empathy for consumers and an in-depth understanding of user-facing feature development.
• Are proficient with web frontend technology (React, TypeScript, CSS-in-JS, etc), experienced with performance strategies.
• Are familiar with React Native and delivering solutions across web, iOS, and Android simultaneously.
• Are willing to embrace challenges and changes with a positive attitude.
