Help us build the future of natural capital markets. As the company's Finance Director, you'll be working closely with the CFO on strategic financial projects tied to both our forest carbon marketplace and to our rapidly scaling company. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to touch every piece of the finance functional area—including capital raising, risk analysis, FP&A, and more—and build our finance team from the ground up. 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead FP&A, accounting, and treasury functions of the company
• Develop tools to assess and model the company's financial risk exposure
• Strategize with CFO on 3rd-party financial partnerships aimed at providing liquidity and flexibility to carbon market participants
• Work closely with CFO on budgeting and financial planning
• Support external capital raising efforts with analysis and execution
• Implement new accounting and financial management systems as the company grows
• Oversee relationships with third-party (i.e. outsourced) service providers of accounting, audit, tax, and payments processing
• Produce financial statements and analysis for internal and external audiences
• Manage state tax accounts, collection of sales tax, and related filings

Desired Experience and Aptitudes:

• CPA
• 5+ years in Finance leadership role—experience at venture-backed or high-growth companies a plus
• Degree(s) in Accounting, Business, Finance, or similar
• Experience building accounting teams and implementing new systems in an entrepreneurial context
• Demonstrated interest in sustainability, conservation, natural resource management, and market-based approaches to the same
