We are located in San Jose, California with a new energy storage technology that will allow electric vehicles to outperform internal combustion cars. We have enabled a step-change in performance with a different chemistry and cell architecture that also benefits safety.Do you want to make a contribution to this critical part of the future energy economy? We are looking for a diligent R&D Technician who has experience in analytical techniques (XRD, ICP or mechanical test) and feel comfortable to work in a glove box and dry room. As a R&D technician in analytical team, you will work on material characterization to deliver high quality data in a timely manner to support R&D in the company!
Responsibilities:
Manage sample submission queues, prepare samples and operate analytical instruments to perform testsMonitor and log key parameters during tests; clear lab notebook keeping and database interactions Calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting and minor repairs of analytical instruments
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalentAble to work on CWW night shift (6pm-6:30am) Wed/Thu-Sat and willing to work overtime on short noticeHand-on experience and basic knowledge in XRD, ICP or mechanical testKnowledge of safe laboratory practices, especially in handling chemicals Ability to perform work in a glovebox, dry room or fume hood Motivated to learn new techniques and refine existing techniquesClear written and verbal communication skills Motivated and capable of working independently and within a teamOutlook, SharePoint and MS Office
Nice to haves:
