Job Description

What You’ll Do 

  • Manage a team that ensures end to end compliance to GMPs and Food Safety regulations using HACCP assessments and assuring quality in product safety with records management for Apeel EMEA regional operations
  • Ensure cross-functional alignment with product performance targets and manage a team that enables those targets to be met at all sites in the region
  • Ensure  new projects (site integrations, product launches, equipment upgrades, etc) are implemented with appropriate quality considerations
  • Manage a team that develops relationships with external quality managers at our customer sites and fulfills product performance reporting requests for internal teams (Customer Success, Sales, Product)
  • Work with the Director of Product Quality (US, dotted line reporting) to adopt and implement new product quality tools and global quality standards and procedures
  • Lead implementation of Apeel QMS processes e.g.: Product Performance, Recovery and Recall, Complaints, Non-conformances, Deviations, Management of Change (MoC), Quality Notifications and Quality KPIs in EMEA region
  • Responsible for regional regulatory compliance for audits: Site, Regulatory, Customer and 3rd Party alongside QA and support from RCQA. Provide support to Apeel teams for leading effective resolutions for food safety, GMPs and for customer audit readiness
  • Develop key partnership with cross functional teams in ensuring implementation of Apeel Quality Standard Requirements consistently with compliance to regional, & country specific GMPs
  • Ensure documentation (Work instructions & SOPs) overview and approvals are conducted in alignment with Apeel corporate practices and local regulations
  • Perform Value Stream Mapping for optimization of regional processes by proactively identifying areas for improvement at Apeel and develop and implement processes that help to advance our operations with risk mitigation with cross functional teams dotted line to Regional Ops Director and PQ WW
  • Drive business issue resolution and continuous improvement acting as a cross functional liaison between Operations teams. Capture key learnings, best practices, potential issues / trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Responsible for performance appraisals, coaching & feedback, delegates work to ensure the development of people and organizational capabilities for the EMEA team in collaboration with solid and dotted line reports

What You Bring 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree + 3 years industry experience at minimum
  • Experience working in a regulated industry, preferably food &/or pharma  industry 
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (speaking and writing). Proficiency in  Dutch and German  will be asset
  • Ability to travel within EMEA up to 30% and internationally on occasion
