About the Role:
The Director of Digital Content and Growth Marketing is a senior level leadership role focused on driving and nurturing new leads and awareness, through engagement with Planet’s digital programs and content. Building and leading a team, this role ensures our digital campaigns have innovative, high-quality, consumable content that fits our target prospects’ needs and interests at each stage of our marketing funnel. The team will collaborate with and maintain content created by other parts of the marketing and communications organizations (and from other organizations), and ensure that content is delivered in compelling and consistent ways to create engagement across key digital platforms and communities. As part of driving expanded digital reach for Planet, this team will also be responsible for collaborating with Demand Generation and others to include very targeted paid social media/paid search content as part of our marketing campaign mix to engage prospect and customer audiences and communities over time.
The Digital Content/Growth Marketing Team, a new department for Planet, requires this leader to develop the overall strategy for digital-driven content and growth, as well as build and manage the team, collaborating cross-functionally to drive expanded awareness and engagement with Planet from our digital programs. This leader will have to be both strategic and hands-on -- in essence to be the “glue” to make content consumable for marketing campaigns/programs produced and executed by the demand generation team.
The Director of Digital Content and Growth Marketing is also responsible for partnering closely with the Communications team and others to assess and build a business plan for how to best leverage Planet’s different communities - developer, scientific, education, or others - to obtain engaging content, and expand our brand awareness and lead generation capabilities.
This leader will collaborate closely with the Demand Generation, Product/Solutions Marketing and Communications teams, to ensure our content and programs create engagement with leads to nurture into qualified opportunities.
