About the Role

Being a data informed company, data helps us create exceptional experience for our customers and provide insights into the effectiveness of our product.

We are looking for Full Stack Data Visualization Engineers who will work on both the back-end infrastructure and front-end Web UIs of various projects to empower users to understand and act on data insights, and to bring automation and visualization to the Spin.

You will work closely with the Data Analyst, Data Scientist, Engineers and department stakeholders on designing and building useful and delightful applications and tools.

Our team consists of engineers, analysts and data scientists who are passionate about creating finely polished and intuitive experiences and, at the same time, obsess over performance, reliability and maintainability of what we build. We challenge the status quo and strive towards finding the best way to solve problems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop visualization tools using web rendering and modern Javascript technologies.
  • Design and build spatial rendering systems using Kepler.gl, Three.js, WebGL, etc.
  • Consume and orchestrate various APIs and aggregate data for presentation.
  • Implement APIs for developers to use and extend current functionalities.
  • Build reactive systems with live streaming data to help users visualize what is happening at the moment.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of overall relevant experience in building and architecting full-stack web applications, preferred with geo-spatial use cases.
  • 3+ years experience with modern Javascript (or Typescript) development with frameworks such as Node.js/npm, ExpressJS, Vue.j or React.js, etc.
  • 3+ years experience with SQL.
  • 3+ years experience with Cloud-based architecture such as Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform
  • 1+ year(s) experience with real time streaming infrastructure like Apache Kafka or AWS Kinesis preferred

  • Good understanding of containers, Git, build systems, and infrastructure automation.
  • Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented.
  • Exceptional teammate who establishes positive working relationships.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to express sophisticated concepts effectively.
