About the Role

The role will have responsibility for managing hardware procurement and product cost across hardware projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Supply Chain, Product, Finance, Accounting, and Market Operations to collect, analyze and summarize cost information for financial planning and new product development. The successful Candidate will ensure that procurement and cost is an early key partner with R&D for developing and executing New Product sourcing strategies and be part of the coordination, facilitation and enablement of programs that will drive best practice.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development of strategy and infrastructure to deliver global procurement procedures, processes and tools
  • Lead and build a procurement team to support Spin’s hardware organizations
  • Deliver outstanding US supply base support to your internal and external customers
  • Oversee contract development and administration
  • Lead all aspects of the cost management activities to provide regular cost roll-up for existing hardware products
  • Build and implement the methodology and tools to scale the cost management process
  • Engaged throughout product lifecycle - early engagement to end of life. Cost management covering both material costs (silicon, substrates, cameras, flex, display, etc) and non-material (CapEx, MVA, warranty, logistics/freight, COGS, etc). Represent procurement in cross functional product planning ranging from roadmap development to detailed design tradeoff discussions.
  • Collect and review market intelligence and guide the stakeholders through early concepts of new product development.
  • Enable new business processes for future supply chain needs, such as RFQ, supplier selection, contractual agreements, consignment etc.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in related discipline: Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Project Management, Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 7+ years work experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, Finance or related disciplines
  • Able to lead cross-functional teams to drive projects to successful completion.
  • Direct experience in cost/data analytics function
  • Excellent negotiating skills, should cost modelling and other cost management tools preferred
  • Experience with Google platforms, Netsuite, PLM system and SQL
  • Ability to work in a complex, fast changing global organizational environment
  • Good understanding of business strategy and plans to ensure alignment
  • Advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills in a team environment
