About the Role

The Sr. Quality Manager will be based in Taiwan and report directly to the Sr. Director of Hardware Product Quality. This role will collaborate closely with Spin's Hardware Engineering and Hardware Operations teams. The Sr. Quality Manager will work directly with China-based component suppliers to ensure their outgoing quality meets Spin's specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and technical direction to Spin’s team of Supplier Quality Engineers and Product Quality Engineers based in Asia.
  • Support the execution of SPIN’s Product Quality Plans and New Product Development processes.
  • Manage quality escalations and drive quality issue root cause/corrective action resolution.
  • Support new product development builds at module and part suppliers.
  • Perform periodic out of box audits of finished goods at module and part suppliers.
  • Support suppliers in resolving technical product, yield, process, material or supplier quality issues.
  • Track and Verify Supplier’s execution of SPIN approved Engineering Change Notices (ECN’s).
  • Reviews/Audits Supplier Quality Control Plan OQC, Yield Bridge data and improvement actions during Mass Production.
  • Provide verbal and written assessments of CM quality, top issues and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participates in Early Field Feedback Failure (EFFA) process and coordinates improvement actions with the CM factories.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
  • 15+ years of experience in high volume consumer electronics manufacturing or micro-mobility industry.
  • Minimum 5+ years quality management experience.
  • Certified Quality Manager, Six Sigma Black/Green Belt is preferred.
  • Familiar with DOE, FMEA, SPC, Sampling Plans, Quality Control plans.
  • Decisive and effective at issue tracking and resolution
  • Solid interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in Mandarin Chinese and English.
  • Comfortable and experienced presenting technical information to management and executive stakeholders.
