R&D Technician, Analytical

As a swing shift R&D technician in analytical team, you will work on material characterization to deliver high quality data in a timely manner to support R&D in the company!
Responsibilities:
Manage sample submission queues, prepare samples and operate analytical instruments to perform testsMonitor and log key parameters during tests; clear lab notebook keeping and database interactions Calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting and minor repairs of analytical instruments
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalentAble to work on swing shift (3:30pm-12am) Sunday-Thursday and willing to work overtime on short notice>1 year’s work experience in an analytical lab; hand-on experience and basic knowledge in X-ray diffraction is plusKnowledge of safe laboratory practices, especially in handling chemicals Ability to perform work in a glovebox, dry room or fume hood Motivated to learn new techniques and refine existing techniquesClear written and verbal communication skills Motivated and capable of working independently and within a team
Nice to haves:
A technical degree from a 2-year program or moreHand-on experience in optical microscope and mechanical testingExperience working within a battery lab or in gloveboxes, fume hoods or dry room Familiar with MSA and JMP software
