To reinforce Opus One's global leadership the company is looking for a hardworking, passionate and experienced Marketing Communications Manager to collaborate with our marketing, product, sales, engineering, and solution teams to capitalize on the growth market and continue to meet the needs of our clients with advanced innovative solutions for future energy projects. Someone who can also convey the importance of what we do - and how we do it - through the design, development and execution of a marketing and communications strategy while effectively positioning our software solutions to both technical and non-technical industry leaders, influencers and decision makers.

Requirements

Who you are

You are a Marketing and Communications Manager with at least five years’ experience launching and supporting enterprise software and/or SAAS products with experience in the Utility sector. You have broad and deep marketing experience gained through working in enterprise or small-to-mid-sized firms. You want to take all of your experience, skills and knowledge and apply it to a cause that is making the world a better place. You want the freedom to define your role and that of your team. Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Creating Communications and Managing our Editorial Annoucement Calendar – including developing, writing, editing and/or proofreading external customer-facing communications for distribution across the globe using digital and social media channels (includes managing our network of freelance writers)
  • Leading planned and ad hoc written communications with strategic messaging for external audiences.
  • Manage all aspects of media/PR programs that generate earned and/or owned media coverage for Opus One brand to support the company’s narrative.
  • Manage the press release process for Opus One, overseeing internal reviews for all press releases.
  • Coordinate and manage all interviews with internal spokespeople and/or third parties, guiding/briefing spokespeople on key messaging.
  • Develop social media strategies and copy and manage the day to day process of posting and scheduling on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, etc.
  • Develop and coordinate integrated activities that build brand awareness, create demand, generate marketing qualified leads and help drive revenue growth.
  • Developing, planning, and leading communications programs; managing and guiding project teams and agency / partners to effectively execute communications programs as required.
  • Event strategy and Execution. You will collaborate with the team to build out objectives for our presence at industry events. You will create metrics and a process to determine how we participate, how we secure speaking engagements and the nature of the branding we display across our collateral.
  • Award Applications – preparing communications and logistics for key award submissions throughout the year.
  • Keep track of product updates and work with internal teams to develop related customer communications.

Other Responsibilities:

  • B2B projects. You will contribute to the development of marketing project plans. You will create digital B2B marketing campaigns to build site traffic and convert visitors into marketing leads. You will manage the day-to-day development and coordination with internal teams, external teams and vendors from initiation to execution and follow-up.
  • Digital content creation. You will create and deliver insightful content including, newsletters, web pages, infographics, video, blogs, bylined articles and social media content to increase demand generation. You will manage editorial calendars, identify and optimize segmented profiles and target lists as part of automated email campaigns. You will promote thought leadership and engage partners through influential curated and created content.
  • Reporting. You will own and maintain site analytics, metrics and campaign reporting. You will work closely with sales to continually refine our process to convert customers.
  • General marketing activities. You will oversee contracts for - and work with - marketing and communications service providers. You will provide support to sales forecasting and product planning.

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree with a focus on marketing / communication / social media.
  • Proven experience of marketing communications ideally in a similar industry (Utility/Energy sector preferred)
  • Minimum 5+ years of successful experience in marketing and communications, including social media essential, B2B marketing and communications experience required.
  • Minimum of three years of professional experience with LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, etc.
  • Proficiency with social media management and analytical tools
  • Experience growing brands digitally including social media through strategic community management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must have a portfolio of published materials/samples of previous work. A writing test will be required.
  • Ability to deliver in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to build rapport and trust quickly at all levels in an organization
  • A ‘can do’ attitude and an exceptional degree of personal initiative with an ability to manage multiple priorities in tight timelines
