Job Description

EnergyHub’s sales team is looking for a Sales Operations Associate with strong technical writing, project management and communication skills, along with a passion for the clean energy field. 

The Sales Operations Associate will play a critical role at the intersection of EnergyHub’s sales, product, and program delivery teams, combining market insights with deep knowledge of EnergyHub’s value proposition to develop compelling client proposals and manage our sales processes.  

This role represents an exciting opportunity to help propel EnergyHub’s growth. You will become an expert in the evolving world of distributed energy resources (DERs), combining technical and business acumen to develop thoughtful proposals and contracts related to the dynamic control of electric vehicle charging, smart thermostats, batteries, and other connected devices. You will coordinate input from colleagues across EnergyHub’s product, business development, and program delivery teams -- ensuring the development of cross-functional knowledge and expertise. 

In short -- you’ll be a go-to resource internally with the ability to represent the complete picture of EnergyHub in our proposals and project manage our responses to complex utility RFPs, playing a central role in EnergyHub’s growth and success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop expertise in the utility market and DER landscape
  • Manage the proposal process, from RFP review to final submission, coordinating input from teams across the organization 
  • Write compelling proposal content
  • Build and maintain a library of relevant proposal-related content for use throughout the sales process
  • Manage development of statements of work as part of the contracting process, including coordinating input from technical and delivery teams 
  • Manage EnergyHub’s CRM system (Salesforce.com)
  • Identify, develop and implement other repeatable processes to streamline sales activity 
  • Evangelize EnergyHub’s value to clients and prospects through strong technical writing
  • Work closely with EnergyHub’s product and marketing teams to ensure that EnergyHub is delivering the right message to the market 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience in technical or management consulting, enterprise software technical writing, marketing or sales operations, or related fields
  • Experience developing compelling business cases
  • Energy industry experience a plus, particularly demand side management
  • Exceptional technical writing, communication, and project management skills
  • Strong interest in how technology is changing the way we use and view energy
