Wisk is currently seeking an CAD administrator who will take a proactive role in the support of all CAD users and configure and maintain NX CAD and associated tools such as NX Open, Checkmate, Fibersim and others. In this role you will work collaboratively with designers, team leads, and managers to ensure NX CAD tools can support all aspects of 3D and 2D modeling required to build our self-flying taxi. If you are proactive, self-directed, hands-on, and thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced start-up environment, please apply!

Within 3 months you will:

  • Get to know the team
  • Understand the CAD implementation and PLM system architecture at Wisk Aero
  • Develop a familiarity with the high level engineering bill of materials (EBOM), manufacturing bill of materials (MBOM) in Teamcenter
  • Begin to build relationships with CAD users and provide 1st and 2nd level daily support for Siemens NX.
  • Manage NX CAD templates for parts, assemblies, drawings, etc.
  • Provide expert guidance on 3D design environment for model based design definition including mechanical design standards.
  • Provide expert knowledge to the engineering design team for drafting, modeling, reference sets, and NX core capabilities

Within 6 months you will:

  • Manage the SolidWorks and NX CAD environment in Teamcenter, ensuring the design team is following best practices for NX CAD and large assembly collaboration
  • Manage high level BOMs, ensuring large assemblies are built per best practices to ensure best usability and performance
  • Provide user guidance for features such as NX mass properties calculations, Product Manufacturing Information (PMI) and Checkmate
  • Contribute to the engineering procedures manual for drafting and design standards Including ASME Y 14 engineering drawing practices
  • Help to define a strategy for and implement a standard parts/materials library in Teamcenter, including fasteners, consumables, raw materials and more. Lead the definition and implementation of Teamcenter Classification library

Within 12 months you will:

  • Define and drive improvements for modelling, free form modelling, surfacing, reverse engineering, automation, assemblies including WAVE structures and product interface, standards development, custom scripting, etc.
  • Contribute to strategy and roadmap for model based definition, ensuring that we’re following best practices and being as efficient as possible with our toolset

Required:

  • At least ten years of experience in Siemens NX and Teamcenter and end-user support
  • Experience with model-based definition in NX including the following:
  • Advanced modeling and drafting experience
  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
  • Composite fuselage design experience
  • NX Application Launcher, Attribute Mapping, NX Checkmate, and configuring the NX Reuse Library with the Siemens Machinery Library.
  • Familiar with NX Routing applications for Electrical, Mechanical and Schematics.
  • Hands-on experience with Teamcenter Structure Manager
  • Experience with Teamcenter Classification
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to interface with a wide range of users and instruct and mentor them
  • Constantly expanding your own abilities through on-demand learning and skills development

Desired:

  • Experience with Teamcenter EDA and ECAD component libraries
  • Experience with Fibersim
  • Experience with SolidWorks and SWIM Teamcenter integration
  • Experience with NX Open
  • Experience configuring CheckMate for model validation
  • NX Line Designer, NX Physical Architecture Modeler, Mechatronics Concept Designer, NX Join and/or Syncrofit, NX Algorithmic Programming, NX Implicit Modeling, NX Structure Designer & customization, NX PMI with automated authoring.
