Job Description

Synchronize the fundraising team that powers GFI’s mission

The Good Food Institute (GFI) is at the forefront of the movement to use food technology and markets to solve some of the world’s biggest problems, from climate change and global hunger to antibiotic resistance and the exploitation of animals. 

How You Will Make a Difference
In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide strategic leadership to the Development team by coordinating key projects and initiatives and managing essential support tools and processes. The Development Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Serving as a central project manager for the team; developing and maintaining documents, including timelines and calendars, and managing and scheduling projects in Asana and Google environments.
  • Developing, maintaining, and continually improving Development processes and procedures.
  • Serving as the Development team lead for key technologies including Pardot, Asana, Google tools, etc.
  • Supporting the Deputy Director of Development and acting independently to make decisions related to the allocation of team resources to strategic initiatives.
  • Following all human resource and operational procedures.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Who We’re Looking For

The Development Coordinator must have:

  • An associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong background in project management; knowledge of Asana or similar tools a plus.
  • A creative, enthusiastic, and positive personality.
  • The ability to acquire understanding and absorb information rapidly.
  • Exceptional organization and efficiency.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • The ability to work well independently and under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; experience with Google Docs (preferred).
  • Comfort working remotely and in a rapidly growing and evolving organization.
  • Strong support for GFI’s philosophy and mission; demonstrated interest in public health, environmentalism, animal protection, or hunger relief.

The Fine Print

  • Terms of employment: Full-time, exempt
  • Reports to: Deputy Director of Development
  • Location: Remote; United States
  • Travel: Up to two weeks per year for company retreats.

  • This is a U.S.-based position: In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
  • Salary: $46,000-$51,000
