About the role:

We are looking for a hardworking Machine Learning engineer to join our Simulation group and help with training sensor models with learning techniques.

What you’ll be doing

• Partner with a team of hardworking people pushing towards the goal of making our cars drive better every day.
• Build simulations, models, tools, and analysis to produce synthetic data that can be used to train machine learning models (develop tools/debugging, analysis on models).
• Conceptual understanding of how simulations and real-life scenarios
• Integrate with other tools, formats and pipelines in our ecosystem.

What you must have

• C++ and Python experience (proficiency in one).
• Expertise in machine learning (what it means, debugging, etc).
• Proficient in Linux environment.
• BS or MS in CS, Physics, Machine Learning, Engineering/scientific thought.
• Ability to communicate well across complementary teams of developers and other staff.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment where immediate impact is a result of your efforts and where your contribution is highly visible
• Passion for self-driving technology and its potential impact on the world.
• Attention to detail and a passion for correctness.
• Exceptional ability to write clean, fast, reliable, and highly scalable software.

Bonus Points!

• Proficiency with Unreal.
• Strong background in Statistics or Gaming.
• Experience with large-scale distributed storage and database systems (SQL or NoSQL, e.g. MySQL, Cassandra)
