Decarbonisation Analyst

Job description: 

BeZero Carbon is looking for an analyst to work in our decarbonisation consultancy. 

The role will work with a diverse range of clients to calculate the carbon footprint of their operations, perform Life Cycle Assessments, design Net Zero strategies, create communications materials. The role will also work with our carbon credit team to create Carbon Neutral strategies using BeZero’s proprietary Rating framework. 

The successful applicant will work on exciting projects with clients in a host of industries, including fashion, jewellery, beverages, music, finance, and retail. 

Ideally, the candidate will have a background in engineering, material or environmental sciences. They must have strong mathematical skills and be experienced in handling and presenting data. The successful candidate will also need to be flexible and open-minded, with a willingness to contribute to work streams across the business as and when required. 

The successful candidate will also be required to produce decks to be presented to clients with good attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

The candidate will report to BeZero’s Chief Engineering Officer and can work remotely on pre-agreed timezone, or from our London-based office on GMT hours. For more information visit www.bezerocarbon.com. 

Experience required: 

Proficient in Excel, experience with Python or another programming language is preferred but not required. Previous experience working in a consultancy is desired but not required.

Collect: calculate & present client’s carbon footprint (CO2e), either for the organisation and / or product. 

Cut: create bespoke Net Zero (emission reductions) & Carbon Neutral strategies (via our market leading offset framework) for the operations and / or products

Communicate: create marketing materials to publicise sustainability achievements / goals to customers and stakeholders, eg via website, press releases, instagram.
