We are looking for a Manager of Compensation to join our People Team, reporting to the Vice President, Total Rewards.  This hands-on position plays a key role managing our compensation programs and operations, including design, communication and implementation of the company’s compensation structure, annual compensation review, and bonus programs.  The role is a key contributor to Compensation Committee materials that are shared with the Board of Directors and provides oversight for the company’s equity compensation programs.  The role partners with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and ensures that such programs are communicated clearly to employees. This role also ensures all compensation-related operations are handled quickly, thoughtfully, and accurately.

  • Manages the compensation programs of the company, including year-end processes, implementation of programs, compensation benchmarking and data, and subject matter expertise supporting People Business Partners.
  • Partners with VP, Total Rewards on the design and communication of compensation structure, bonus programs, and equity programs.
  • Manages the year-end compensation process in Workday and provides communication and training to stakeholders.
  • Performs market analysis of jobs, including management of benchmark data and job pricing system.
  • Designs and executes on the company’s compensation operations.
  • Partners with VP, Total Rewards to prepare complex Compensation Committee materials
  • Provides analysis and recommendations for ad-hoc compensation requests.
  • Partners with stakeholders to develop a comprehensive, competitive compensation strategy in alignment with the company’s objectives and budget guidelines. Designs, documents, and communicates compensation plans and policies that align with Indigo’s Total Rewards principles.
  • Manages strong cross-functional relationships with Payroll, Finance, and Legal
  • Serves as first point of contact for all compensation related matters

Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of relevant compensation experience
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to distill complex compensation concepts into content easily understood by stakeholders
  • Proven success managing year-end processes and partnering with People Business Partners
  • Knowledge of compensation benchmarking principles. FLSA classification, and equity compensation
  • Excellent communication skills, including experience with creation of employee directed content.
  • HRIS/Payroll/Compensation system experience (Workday experience is preferable)
  • Strong customer service mindset used to resolve complex questions and problems.
