Job Description

Zoox is looking for a Technical Program Manager to support the Corporate Quality & Reliability (CQR) organization. In this role, you will work cross-functionally across all organizations to help us achieve our strategic and tactical milestones. You will work with these teams and CQR to develop project schedules, identify milestones, flag risks and clearly communicate ongoing progress for the CQR deliverables.
Corporate Quality & Reliability team is responsible for driving the Zoox-wide quality and reliability initiatives that are critical for Zoox to successfully develop and deploy a state-of-the- art fleet of self-driving vehicles that will serve dense urban environments.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Corporate Quality & Reliability team members and other Zoox teams to translate the top-down CQR strategy and milestones into detailed project roadmaps, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Ensure teams understand what they need to deliver the Zoox quality and reliability objectives.
  • Ensure problems are transparent and risks are identified and proactively ensure that risk-mitigating actions are taken within relevant cross-functional partners.
  • Establish standard reports to provide concise and effective communications to key stakeholders on program status, issues/risks, and accomplishments.
  • Set agenda for key decisions to be made at each meeting to eliminate bottlenecks and retire risks.

Qualifications

  • BS or MS degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience
  • Basic knowledge of quality engineering, quality management systems, and reliability principles and practice
  • 3+ years of experience in engineering, program management, or management consulting
  • Experience with hardware development and manufacturing processes
  • Proficient in tools required to manage complex projects (i.e., Gantt charts, Jira, Confluence, Google Sheets and Smartsheets)

Bonus Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in a startup environment.
  • Prior experience in the Automotive field or other highly regulated industries.
  • Strong track record in managing complex, cross-functional projects.
  • An ability to keep the big picture in focus and to provide clear, well-structured, and concise communications tailored to each appropriate audience.
