Experienced .NET and Angular Developer

Founded in Sydney in 2017, we saw the need to provide short term, flexible leases of electric bikes to people who want to make money from food delivery. We’re a fast growing tech start up with a global footprint across Australia, the US and the UK. We are doubling in size every 6 months! We’re looking for a Supply Chain Manager who is excited about building the foundations of our supply chain function and who can rapidly scale this integral part of the business. The problems you solve and the impact you have will be key to helping Bolt Bikes become the leading global provider of delivery e-bikes.

We are transitioning billions of urban delivery miles from bikes, cars and trucks to smart e-bikes, starting with food delivery. eBikes are more efficient, more sustainable and now, easily accessible.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer, to work with us on multiple projects varying from complex websites to iOS applications. We need someone who can adapt to various technologies and be able to research and come with up solutions independently as much as possible.

Working with us you will be exposed to numerous industries and businesses of all sizes. Our core platforms are Web (Front and Backend), iOS and Android, we build full solutions to support the technology needs of our clients. You will primarily start working on Web solutions and then also learn and work on iOS and Android development.

You will be working with developers who have worked across all these platforms and are accustomed to dealing with issues with complex factors. We think through our fixes and must explain and have a good logical reason for work done. No band-aid fixes, if a work-around is used it is for a good reason.

We know you have many facets to your lives, so we are flexible on working hours, we will work with you to determine ideal conditions. We want you to be self driven and enjoy working with us. We are driven by passion not process, process comes from a desire to get quality.

It would be great to have 5+ years experience and be confident in your abilities to work and get a result, and most importantly be able to put up with our bad jokes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee and manage your development activities
• Lead an agile development process
• Establish and maintain development systems
• Report to the Director of Products and other executive leaders
• Consult on solution architecture and feasibilities
• Assist in the management of the development budget

Requirements

• AngularJS and / or Angular 2: working with Angular based web applications is central to the role.
• HTML / JavaScript: A very strong understanding of HTML and JavaScript, AJAX and good coding practices. Understanding of JavaScript frameworks, eg jQuery.
• .NET: A solid background in working with .NET, web skills are more relevant to this role, however client experience will also be useful.
• SQL: An in-depth understanding of T-SQL, working with MSSQL, MySQL, SQLite.
• iOS / Android (Xamarin): any experience in mobile app development is a definite advantage.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and JSON.
• Understands the importance of high quality code through non-negotiable’s like unit tests, clean code, reducing framework dependencies, etc.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Source control and continuous integration systems (Git, SVN).
• Previous experience planning and working with estimates.
