What You Will Be Doing

The Human Resources Specialist role is a ground floor opportunity with room to grow that supports the H.R Generalist and Director in the development, implementation, and execution of Human Resources solutions aligned to the business and People Operations strategy. Working directly with H.R. Generalist and Director the Human Resources Specialist provides Human Resources support, H.R. Systems data entry and maintenance, H.R Data Analytics and overall H.R. Support.  Working collaboratively with the People Operations team, the  Human Resources Specialist will support HR processes and projects. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas, including H.R. Systems, training, performance management, new hire on-boarding, off-boarding, and data reporting.  As a member of the People Operations Team, this role serves on the HR front lines in support of the H.R. Team.

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

 Specific responsibilities include:

  • Providing Human Resources support including facilitating the day today H.R. work flow.
  • Provide HR support on special projects such as new H.R. system implementation, updating the employee on-boarding program,compliance training and immigration.
  • Maintain company organizational charts. 
  • Support new employee orientation, training and performance management.
  • Process terminations, benefits enrollment, appropriate documents, update HRIS and work with payroll for final pay and outstanding expenses.
  • Partner with employees and leaders to ensure the appropriate administration of leave programs.
  • Administration of HRIS Systems.
  • Prepare statistical summaries and reports from the HRIS.
  • Maintains complete electronic employee personnel files, records and other electronic documentation for employees.Monitor and communicate to candidates, employees and Hiring Managers regarding immigration attorneys  H1-B visas and green card applications.
  • Administer benefits and answer employee questions regarding employee benefits.
  • Respond to all unemployment claims and verification of employment in a timely manner.
  • Document exit interviews and related activities as part of the off-boarding process.

Partner with the People Operations team to assist with company wide initiatives (i.e., annual performance review process, employee engagement survey, new programs/policies, etc.)

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or other related discipline required.
  • Two or more years of HR experience required.
  • Professional HR certification such as or PHR or SHRM-CP is a plus.
  • Proficient personal computer skills i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Web Research, HRIS system required. Must be able to create and manipulate Excel spreadsheets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information at all times.
