Where in the world of OVO will I be working? 

You will be working within Energy Solutions, a group business delivering Domestic Energy efficiency measures to properties as part of area-based initiative schemes across Scotland and England.

Measures are part funded via the mandatory Energy Company, also utilising other Energy Efficiency/Renewable funds to support Insulation, Heating and Renewable measures.

You’ll be working as part of the Operations team within Energy Solutions, providing administrative support and coordination in pre and post construction activity, ensuring measures can commence in line with client expectations, and with all compliance requirements.

The role will involve contractor and customer facing dialogue supporting other parts of the business in addition to Operations.

Promote exceptional service delivery throughout the supply chain and develop/maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues and customers alike.

What will I be doing?

Working for operations, This is a varied administration role that includes normal administration duties alongside project coordination for multiple working sites and linking the operations and Technical departments to the other parts of SSE Energy Solutions.

The aim of the job is to ensure that all pre and post construction compliance activities are recorded and reported, weekly reports updated / summarised, all project reports are completed and disseminated to team members. The role is vital for linking the different business units in SSE ES together so that all parts of the business run smoothly. The role also has substantial ‘other duties’ involved.

Key Responsibilities

The role will include, but not be limited to the following responsibilities:

  • Administration Duties including weekly reports, ensure these reports are accurate and reflect project status.
  • Data Collection
  • This is an important function of this role and it is to instruct, collate and update pre and post construction documents such as EPCs, from appointed 3r party contractors, also reporting on service level requirements/timelines.

 

Is this the job for me? 

  • Understand and be fully conversant with Spreadsheets and able to input and navigate varied  reports, broad based IT knowledge is essential to the role for ‘live’ up to date reporting
  • Needs to be aware of the different services offered by SSE ES and be able to answer questions on each one, e.g. External Wall Insulation, Air Source Heat pumps.
  • Able to understand the needs of all parties in the SSE ES chain, from sales to operational staff and know what each needs for their function to be completed properly
  • Understand and drill down progress reports 
  • IT expert and able to use several different programmes and report effectively from each
  • Face to face public skills attributes
  • Keep records and have input into producing new type reports

 

Ideally you will have

  • Ability to stay calm under pressure that comes from several different avenue’s
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Effective communicator at all levels from individual members of the public to chief
  • Flexible approach to work and able to respond to ‘call to arms’ immediately
  • Customer care and able to deal with ‘difficult’ customers
