OVERVIEW
The Director of Quality, Strategic Accounts primary role is to provide the direction, resources and support for all strategic customers within the Beyond Meat system.  This role is a customer interfacing role that is responsible for engaging customers through the lifecycle of all new and existing products.   This role and direct reports works cross functionally with all affected stakeholders to anticipate the needs of the partner and our business, to be the regulatory and quality voice of the customer, deliver all pertinent information on time as committed and to conduct themselves as “owners” of the process.  This includes specification development, co-man and internal manufacturing training to the meet customer standards and a complete understanding of the customer’s quality and food safety requirements from receipt to consumer. 

RESPONISIBLITES

  • Set the strategic vision for supporting Strategic partner initiatives
  • Provide technical and business leadership support to Beyond Meat senior leadership and manufacturing partnerss in the areas of quality assurance and food safety while ensuring alignment with overall strategic goals of the customer and business.
  • Fully understand our Strategic Partners quality/product expectations.  Communicate these expectations effectively cross-functionally
  • Ability to problem-solve and find solutions  
  • Provide oversight and support to all aspects of quality within the department and with the customers.
  • This role is expected to inspire customers, direct reports and other team members to greater levels of professionalism, quality and engagement
  • Provide professional development for the Strategic Account Quality team

QUALFICIATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a food science/culinary field is required. 
  • Project Management experience is preferred
  • 10+ years’ experience working in a food manufacturing or foodservice environment
  • Thorough knowledge and appropriate certifications for GMP, FDA, HACCP/PCQI/GFSI is required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work effectively.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and time constraints.

WORK ENVIORMENT

  • Ability to travel ~30% of the time to co-manufacturing sites
  • Food Manufacturing environment – 10%  (<40 degrees F, >80 degrees F)
  • Frozen warehouse environment – 5% (<10 degrees F)
  • Office setting 55%
