Job Description

We’re at a critical stage in our company’s trajectory and eager to add top talent within the HR function to support our growing workforce. This experienced HR professional will lead core HR processes at EnergyHub and execute talent strategy. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can navigate working through ambiguity, and is motivated by building programs and processes that will scale as we grow. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide HR expertise and counsel in the areas of performance management, employee relations, professional development, and organizational design.
  • Be an advisor to executives, managers, and individual team members.
  • Assist in designing and maintaining fair and equitable compensation structures, including budget planning, merit and performance cycles, as well as related compensation tasks such as sales commission plans and one-time payments. 
  • Ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to create and drive hiring strategy.
  • Contribute as a cultural champion and create an inclusive workplace with an emphasis on diversity, inclusion and belonging for all employees.
  • Proactively assess team and manager development needs, make recommendations, and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Partner with colleagues across EnergyHub and the parent company including HR Operations, HRIS, IT, and Legal to implement relevant solutions to drive the business forward.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years’ human resources experience, with at least 2 of those years in a HRBP role
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously 
  • Prior experience with a mix of startups and mature organizations (tech industry experience a plus)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management skills and ability to own complex projects with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment

  • Possesses a high level of flexibility and adaptability to handle both day-to-day operational requirements of this position, as well as act strategically in matters related to broader, organizational initiatives
  • Working knowledge of New York state/New York City employment laws and regulations 
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP credentials
