Engineering at Jupiter
The Engineering team includes Data APIs, Application Development, Platform and Services Development, Cloud Operations and Security and is responsible for building innovative products and infrastructure for our Climate Score Platform.  Jupiter's Engineering team consists of world class engineers with deep background and expertise in building Peta-Scale systems that empowers Machine Learning, Data Science, Advanced Data Insights & Analytics, and Platform for rapid Application development for our flagship products ClimateScore Planning and ClimateScore Global.
This position is in a fast-growing engineering organization created to meet the global demand for local climate and weather information to protect and develop assets, and to manage risk in operations. You will work with data scientists, physical scientists, machine learning specialist and software engineers to implement, interpret, and scale advanced data insights capabilities for our flagship ClimateScore Global product.

Responsibilities

  • Build, test, maintain, upgrade and continuously improve Data integration platform for ClimateScore Products
  • Build and perform large scale data aggregation and integration with Sisense and other BI tools like Tableau
  • Develop technical architecture to linearly scale data integration and warehousing workloads working closely with the Engineering and CloudOps team
  • Develop and maintain data quality checks
  • Enhance and add new methods for data classification, cataloging and storage
  • Build a roadmap to iteratively incorporate Cloud Agnostic Data Integration and Aggregation patterns to service our customers with Data Insights and Dashboards
  • Constantly stay on top of latest trends in large scale data analysis and integration solutions

Attributes

  • Excellent understanding of large scale data engineering and integration patterns
  • Deep experience building very large scale Enterprise ready Data Warehouse
  • Hands on with AWS Compute, Network, and Data Services
  • Hands on with Postgres, RDS, Aurora or Snowflake etc.
  • Ability to understand and some exposure to massively parallel data systems
  • Strong debugging and problem solving skills
  • Good programming skills in Python, Bash, Golang or any other programming language
  • Ability to translate high level, sometime ambiguous requirements into actionable items
  • Excellent & Effective communications skills
  • Experience with Spark, Presto, Hadoop or Snowflake ecosystem is a big plus
