Position Summary

ChargePoint is seeking a Junior Applications Engineer to help develop ChargePoint’s Open Network OnRamp program. This crucial role entails supporting product readiness of OCPP integrations with third party EVSE partners hardware and ChargePoint’s network. You will work directly with Product Management and Engineering to drive the direction of our products in order to support this key initiative. The Junior Applications Engineer will be responsible for providing product documentation, training material, and solving challenging technical problems. ChargePoint has a wide variety of partners and customers in this fast-paced industry.

 

  • Help define OnRamp partner product documentation and processes for ChargePoint Technical Support to manage supportability of OCPP stations
  • Assist OnRamp team with OCPP station integrations and testing
  • Provide Level 3 technical support for OnRamp production stations when escalated from Level 2 Customer Support
  • Perform onsite, online, or in-house training on various OnRamp related subjects
  • Assist with setup and creation of OnRamp product demonstrations
  • Support OCPP OnRamp Product Manager to develop new features and improve OCPP server infrastructure
  • Help manage OnRamp lab and station setup (connect AC feed, physically install stations, configure and provision stations)

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent discipline
  • 1-2 years’ prior work experience in an application engineering or equivalent role
  • A track record of success in successfully delivering complex projects in cross-functional environments
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Good customer, vendor, partner management, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Professional demeanor and excellent presentation skills
  • Familiarity with EV industry
