QuantumScape is an energy storage technology company, located in San Jose, California, and we are working on a fundamental disruption in the field of energy storage. We seek to change the paradigm in energy storage by developing a completely new class of electrical energy storage device. We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated candidate to join our rapidly growing finance organization.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for accounts payable processes including vendor maintenance, invoice processing, payment processingCorrespond with vendors and respond to inquiries from vendors and internal stakeholdersConduct special reviews and prepare additional analyses including vendor payment analysis, expense analysis, and others analyses as assignedPerform account reconciliations including credit card reconciliationsPerform and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close activitiesPerform and coordinate accounting operational functionsIdentify and implement process improvements and automation to reduce time to close and improve accuracy of underlying accounting recordPartner with cross-functional teams on a regular basis to identify areas for improvement and solve problemsLead critical accounting projects including the design, implementation and maintenance of key finance and reporting systemsEnsure accurate and timely reporting of financial results in accordance with US GAAP and global accounting policies.Manage quarterly and annual audits by interfacing with auditors, ensuring timely completion of supporting schedules related to financials auditsDesign, implement, and maintain effective global accounting processes, policies, and proceduresPrepare periodic and ad hoc financial reporting and analysisPerform other duties as assigned
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Minimum 5 years in accounting experienceBachelor’s degree in Finance or AccountingCPA (Certified Public Accountant) preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate accounting results to both accounting and non accounting customers at various levels of the organizationWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
