Full Stack Developer / Lead Architect

The great news is we now have affordable solutions and most people (70% in the U.S.) want to help - however, they often don’t know where to start.  At BrightAction we’re on a mission to empower people on climate solutions and help them take action at home and beyond.

BrightAction is a B2B SaaS engagement platform that makes it simple, easy and fun for employees or members to discover their current footprint, learn about solutions and take affordable actions.  Our advanced calculator provides robust impact metrics and gamifies participation with goals, levels and team competitions and we connect users to share and support each other in taking action.  Our platform provides companies or organizations custom branding and engagement tools to drive participation and make an impact on climate change. We’ve raised a seed round and acquired key customers.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer / Architect who is as passionate as we are about advancing climate solutions. We have had great success with our MVP and it is time to build on it.  You will be the lead architect and design the strategy for our SaaS platform.  You will work on developing our platform and establishing a flexible and scalable architecture built on cloud native technologies that provides reliability and ease of deployment for new customers. 

What you will be doing:

• Work directly with the founding team to design, develop and evolve our architecture strategy for our SaaS application
• Lead and mentor the development team
• Design and develop new features from concept to deployment
• Provide a focus on stability and scalability in code development
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with coding or design

Requirements:

• BS in computer science or related field
• Min 5+ years Full Stack development experience building SaaS applications
• Passion for solving the climate crisis
• Strong conceptual, problem solving and analytical skills
• Experience and interest in designing and creating simple, elegant and scalable applications
• Experience with React and Python/Django or Javascript/Node.js or similar
• Early stage startup experience a plus
• Experience working with SaaS cloud architecture on AWS or Azure
• Strong communication, collaboration and documentation skills

Part time position with stock options. This position is remote, open to any U.S. location.
