The Role

Motiv is looking to fill a Technical Writer Intern to shadow and learn within our Technical Publications department to help us create vehicle service documentation. You will be tasked with developing customer support documentation in a user-friendly way that’s focused on ensuring end user's best possible experience. The successful candidate will join a fast-paced, startup environment helping to support a team creating the next generation of green energy vehicle technology.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to take on the responsibilities listed below, other duties may be assigned as needed. 

This internship will be a duration of 3+ months with the opportunity for long term permanent placement.

Responsibilities

• Develop/Update vehicle Service Manual(s)
• Develop Retrofit Instructions and Service Bulletins
• Develop/Update manufacturing instructions as needed
• Work with customer support team to attend on-site vehicle diagnostics in order to generate new troubleshooting procedures

Required Experience and Skills

• Experience in automotive or other hardware maintenance and testing/troubleshooting technical writing preferred
• Ability to utilize Solidworks to generate graphics/illustrations a plus
• Ability to work cross-functionally
