The company is backed by a diverse set of committed investors and we have raised over $100M to date.As a Product Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in building Form’s go-to-market strategy and driving market interest in Form’s first commercial multi-day battery energy storage product. You will work in tandem with our policy, business development, and analytics teams to become an expert in our target customers and the market requirements for our technology. You will pair this understanding with an informed perspective on the market landscape and our business model to build a robust pricing model for our first commercial deployments. Finally, you will work closely with our market development team to build compelling collateral that crisply communicates the value of our first-of-a-kind technology to drive sales and policy outcomes. In this role, you will have significant influence not only on the commercial direction for Form Energy, but on the speed of broader regulatory & utility adoption of a zero-carbon future.

What you'll do:

  • Work closely with our policy, business development, and marketing teams to generate product marketing collateral (e.g., technical specifications, case studies, presentations) that clearly communicates the value and capabilities of our technology in line with our overall marketing program
  • Track the fast-changing competitive and policy landscape for multi-day battery energy storage and the implications for our product and commercial engagement strategy
  • Work with our analytics teams to conduct quantitative analysis to understand the value and economics of our technology using our in-house proprietary software, Formware
  • Document customers, applications, competitive landscape, and product requirements in clear market requirements, and use this framework to inform product requirements and roadmap
  • Build a sophisticated pricing framework in close collaboration with our finance, analytics, and business development teams that aligns Form’s value proposition, cost structure, and business model with real-world commercial projects
  • Collaborate with our market development teams to prioritize sales, policy, and marketing efforts
  • Collaborate with Form Futures, our in-house storage R&D team, to align Form innovation with long-term market opportunities

What you'll bring:

  • Technical bachelor’s degree + 5 years experience or master’s degree with 2 years experience experience in consulting, hardware product marketing, and/or clean energy technology or project development
  • Solid understanding of energy markets, economics of clean energy projects, and how utilities + policymakers view new technologies (ideally storage assets)
  • Experience building compelling written and visual collateral to communicate product technology + capabilities
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to use data to make strategic decisions
  • Ability to drive high-stakes strategic decisions working collaboratively with a range of internal stakeholders
  • Generous team player; thrive in working with multiple stakeholders, from customers to internal product development, business development, analytics, and policy stakeholders
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills to communicate our product and value proposition to the market
  • Passion for enabling the clean energy transition with innovative technologies
  • Comfortable operating in a fast paced, high-tech, high-profile start-up where decisions and progress must be made with imperfect information
