The 2020s is the decade of climate action. BeZero Carbon helps organisations adapt to & prosper in a low carbon future. We offer a systematic approach to change through three pillars; smart decarbonisation, offsetting 2.0 and natural capital. 

Our BeZero Carbon Rating is a top-down analysis of the voluntary carbon market that assesses the carbon efficacy of different offset projects. We are embarking on a stage of rapid development and roll-out of this product to market, including developing a ratings platform and listing the rating on exchanges and other venues. We use our ratings system to design and implement high quality offsetting solutions for our clients. 

Job description

BeZero is looking for someone to join our Offsetting 2.0 team to be sourcing and selling high quality voluntary offset credits. We work with a range of clients to design, build and execute high quality offset baskets using the BeZero Carbon Rating, our market leading framework for voluntary offsets. We want to continue to build relationships with leading projects to secure future supply of offsets and remain at the forefront of the market. 

Strong candidates will have good presentation and analytical skills and may be able to assimilate and articulate large amounts of information to meet ongoing deadlines and requirements. You will need to be flexible and open-minded with a willingness to contribute to work streams across this young, energetic business as and when required. 

Requirements

• Preferably carbon or commodity markets experience
• Financial markets knowledge/experience
• Minimum degree level education, preferably in a technical subject
• Professional experience in a role with client engagement
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Experience with excel
