Job Description

WHO YOU ARE

As a Technical Project Manager for our development partnerships, you ensure each project progresses towards timely success by detailing project timelines, anticipating roadblocks and coordinating mitigation approaches, as well as helping develop new processes and craft existing processes to identify and manage resources. These partnerships are focused on validating new product solutions and cell designs, and are a critical part of our development process. 

In this role, you work closely with scientists and engineers throughout Sila and with our partners in North America, Europe, and Asia on multiple projects at the same time, so you are a multi-tasker who builds or uses existing tools to efficiently handle responsibilities. 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Create and maintain schedules for projects with multiple partners 
  • Clearly report on schedules, budgets, and progress towards milestones to key partners 
  • Proactively identify and highlight critical-path dependencies, risks, and opportunities to accelerate
  • Engage with cross-functional partners to prioritize projects in line with company strategy  
  • Improve processes for requesting resources and reporting project status
  • Communicate, plan, and create alignment with both internal and external partners representing different parts of the organization
  • Travel to Partner locations, primarily North America, Asia, and Europe (up to 10%)
  • Invest in our values and vision and champion them as we grow

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Simultaneously supporting multiple projects in an environment in which changes are the norm
  • Building strong working relationships both internally and externally with technical & business stakeholders
  • Outstanding organization, attention to detail, and prioritization skills
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • At least 3 years related work experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in technical field 
  • Experience studying or working in batteries would be a bonus
  • Experience working cross culturally would be another bonus
  • Language: Level 5 - Native Proficiency in English required. Level 3 - Professional Working Proficiency in Mandarin a plus
