About the Role
The Product Quality Manager (PQM) in the HW Product Quality team, will drive the development and execution of quality management processes during the new product introduction phase for SPIN micro-mobility products. The PQM will interact closely with multi-functional teams in HW Engineering, Product Design, Sustaining Quality, Reliability, Operations and Logistics. This role reports directly to the Sr. Director of Hardware Product Quality and is based in San Francisco. Responsibilities
  • Drive improvement of SPIN’s Quality Management System
  • Chair periodic Quality Management Reviews.
  • Lead and drive quality issue resolution.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive product quality plan for new products in development.
  • Partner with Engineering and Quality Assurance teams to define design verification and product validation testing requirements.
  • Chair Ok2Ship reviews for New Product launch.
  • Define Key Quality Metrics and utilize analytics to present a clear picture of product health in the field.
  • Support new product development builds at Asia factory as required
  • Perform periodic out of box audits of finished goods at CM factories
  • Support CM in resolving technical product, yield, process, material or supplier quality issues.
  • Supervise and verify CM’s execution of SPIN approved Engineering Change Requests.
  • Reviews/Audits CM OQC, Yield Bridge data and improvement actions.
  • Provide verbal and written assessments of CM quality, top issues and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participates in Early Field Feedback Failure (EFFA) process and coordinates improvement actions with the CM factories.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated capability in consumer electronics manufacturing or micro-mobility industry.
  • Certified Quality Engineer, Six Sigma Black Belt is preferred.
  • Familiar with DOE, DFMEA, SPC, Sampling Plans.
  • Decisive and effective at issue resolution
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is helpful.
  • Experience communicating technical information to management and executives.
  • International travel is required.
