  • Manage local site development and permitting for the site, including identifying and managing local consultants
  • Engage with internal Sila teams to understand, document, and communicate all requirements for Sila’s custom battery material production reactors
  • Identify and manage external engineering resources for drawing and design review cycles, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards
  • Coordinate and track equipment installation and commissioning

  • Manage RFIs and submittal processes across multiple contractors
  • Travel frequently to project sites and be one of Sila’s site leaders

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 8 years experience in project engineering or related project work, including ground-up construction projects

  • Experience managing contractors with complex, multidisciplinary scope
  • Proven communication and meeting-management skills, across external and internal teams
  • Familiarity with industrial codes and standards
  • Ability to review and understand documentation, drawings, and specifications
  • Environmental permitting experience would be nice
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Willing to travel to and work on build sites for extensive time periods

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Move long distances and be stationary for extended periods of time
  • 25% travel to and from build sites (50%+ during construction activities)
