About The Business

We are an operationally complex and capital intensive business with excellent commercial traction, primarily overseas. Designing small-format electric vehicles (e-cargo bikes & comparable emerging vehicle formats), contract manufacturing around the world, running teams to manage lease and maintenance operations in major cities globally. Customers range from individuals, all the way through to mammoth enterprises. The business grew 6x last year and is forecast to grow 10x this year.

You will report directly to our general counsel and be part of a team of two (which will grow) servicing 3 different markets. This is an extraordinary opportunity for a junior lawyer to come on board and develop their skills in an ever changing regulatory landscape.

The Roles

You will be responsible for:

  • contract reviews, negotiations and lifecycle management (especially with suppliers and B2B clients)
  • document and matter management
  • dispute resolution and settlements
  • advising on consumer and employment law
  • reviewing emerging laws and safety standards related e-bikes in different jurisdictions
  • managing panels of external lawyers

Requirements

  • At least 1+ years PQE in commercial law, although more experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Exposure to contracts law required.
  • Interest in technology, supply chains, consumer electronics, cleantech, environment or LEVs desirable.
  • You must be a commercial pragmatist (and love closing deals)
  • Have attention to detail
  • Be hard-working
  • Like autonomy and control but be eager to learn
