Role

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join as a critical member of our team. If you have always had an interest in working for a startup and being one of the first members of the engineering team, then this is the opportunity for you. This role will range widely from an engineering perspective but primarily will focus on leading the development and architecture of our technology ecosystem with an API first strategy. You will be joining a team of passionate individuals and be working directly with the Co-Founders of the Company, who previously built a leading clean energy FinTech company that has raised over $100mm of equity capital. In addition to being technically capable, a successful candidate is intellectually curious and brings a ‘whatever it takes’ approach to get shit done. 

While we are typically Los Angeles based, we are currently operating 100% remote and are open to candidates located anywhere in the US.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, implement, and maintain our production front-end web applications and backend systems
• Leverage an API first strategy for both internal and public-facing use, including database design, naming conventions, documentation, and simplification of complex services to source real-time data needs for transactions.
• Design data models
• Writing and tuning SQL and NoSQL database queries
• Own our cloud-based Dev Ops processes, including infrastructure design, configuration, provisioning, deployment, migration, and maintenance.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Participate in QA functions

What You Should Have

• 5+ years of experience in designing and developing backend components, services, or APIs for internal and external stakeholders
• 5+ years of relevant full stack experience
• DevOps experience, and a comprehensive understanding of relational and distributed database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
• Experience with authentication, encryption, SOX Compliance, and PII standards
• Mobile development a plus.
