The opportunity:

Opus One Solutions is looking for a Vice President, Professional Services who will be accountable for managing all project implementation plans, budgets and resources while being a key liaison for internal departments and customers throughout the customer journey. Reporting to the COO, you will provide both strategic and daily leadership to Services Delivery, Project Management Office (PMO), Customer Success and Customer Support organizations, working to achieve each department’s business objectives. You will direct and develop the companies’ efforts in maintaining productive post sales relationships with our customers.

The Vice President will provide leadership to a talented and ambitious implementation and customer success team, delivering multi-million-dollar projects to utilities across the globe. You will act as an advocate for partners and customers to ensure Opus One Solutions is delivering the highest quality and consistency through implementation and customer experience. The role enables and delivers innovative methods to enhance the customer experience while developing and ensuring operational effectiveness. As a key leader within Customer Operations, you will be responsible for benchmarking performance, developing key performance indicators to monitor quality, adoption and retention, lead process improvement initiatives and align the organization around key strategic goals to continually improve the level of services provided.

Who are you?

An experienced leader in the SAAS software or Professional Services space, you know how to deliver software through conceptualization, project management, delivery, and maintenance. You are looking to have an impact at a growing company and are a people leader at your core. You know how to inspire a team and build trust with customers and cross functional departments. In previous years of your career you have demonstrated:

  • Proven success in a senior leadership role within the implementation, customer success or professional services team of an enterprise B2B or SAAS Technology company;
  • Experience delivering enterprise level software products for public and private companies;
  • Experience managing relationships with clients at all levels of an organization;
  • Experience managing complex, simultaneous, long-term project with multi-million-dollar budgets;
  • Track record of building and leading high performing and motivated teams

What will our Vice President, Professional Services work on?

  • Set and lead strategic priorities for the department, aligning with improvement, effectiveness, company goals, mission and vision.
  • Collaborate with team members to lead, achieve or exceed department Objectives & Key Results, Corporate Score Card Metrics and Key Performance Indicators
  • Develop new processes while improving existing internal processes in order to drive efficiency, transparency, and clarity across teams
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly revenue, delivery, support, success and project quality forecast and reporting
  • Build cross-functional relationships with various internal teams to successfully deliver client projects while managing project controls
  • Motivate leaders and team members through strong leadership and by helping them reach their personal and professional goals;
  • Effectively manage external stakeholders including utilities, technology providers, government agencies and academic institutions.
  • Build solutions that are repeatable, scalable and bring value to the customers and can be implemented on time and within budget.
  • Communicate complex project concepts and deliverables into actions that people can understand;
  • Accountable to achieve revenue delivery objectives and services P&L, support SLAs and customer adoption and retention.
  • Build process to leverage data and analytics for measuring and improving service effectiveness and client retention metrics
  • Help customers transition from On-premises to SAAS based solutions as required.
  • Success in building, designing, launch and supporting new product programs.

Here’s what you bring:

  • Experience: you have 10+ years’ experience managing cross functional teams successfully delivering complex multi-million-dollar projects on budget and on time. You have software product implementation experience and proven large scale software professional services leadership and/or customer care management.
  • Leadership: you have built and grown successful teams and have a track record of inspiring people and coaching them to do their best work; You have a proven track record of delivery on revenue and SLA targets.
  • Business Acumen: you are known for building trusting relationships with customers and helping them meet their goals through your expertise; you demonstrate business acumen and deep understanding of professional services P&L components.
  • Communication and Collaboration: you work well with peers, your team and other stakeholders, seeing the big picture, contributing to the overall growth and success of the business and supporting their initiatives while gaining their support for yours. You are an excellent communicator who can work collaboratively with executive peers and diagonally with the organization.
  • Process Improvement: you are a great problem solver who has excellent process improvement skillsets, including proven success utilizing continuous improvement tools and technologies; you have demonstrable track record of services and customer programs in innovation/creation/adaptation of services offerings across B2B and Enterprise level organizations.
  • Nice to have: PMP, MBA, bachelor’s degree in computer science, technology or related field. Have understanding of utility regulatory environments and energy policy.
